Apple Investors Question Steve Jobs Health

Investors have health concerns for Chief Executive Steve Jobs after he appeared dramatically thinner at Apple's annual developers' conference.

Technology industry experts and investors have concerns about the health of Apple Inc's Chief Executive Steve Jobs have not dimmed more than a month after he appeared dramatically thinner at the company's annual developers' conference.

The New York Post published an article Monday on whether Steve Jobs was suffering complications from, or a reappearance of, the pancreatic cancer cured by surgery nearly four years ago, Apple had said he was fighting a "common bug" and was taking antibiotics.

The paper also said that part of the reason for the concern over Jobs is that Apple has no succession plan in place.

While Hedge fund investors of Apple are scheduled to report results on Monday, are very worried, a Wall Street source who has spoken with some of the company's primary shareholders.

Other sources who met with Jobs in the weeks surrounding the introduction of the iPhone 3G on July 11, said they came away troubled by his thin appearance.

Apple has a long track record of not admitting that Jobs is sick and has kept health issues private. In October 2003, his cancer diagnosis wasn't disclosed until after the removal of a pancreatic tumor.

Some reports suggest that the company knew about Jobs' cancer condition for nine months prior to the public announcement.
