Articles - 2010 Toyota Prius Pricing Information
There are several reasons to buy the 2010 Toyota Prius as its offers a great price and is designed to reduce carbon emissions. The 2010 Prius is friendly to the environment and is one of the best green cars on the market. Aside from this, the government's new Cash for Clunkers program can help you with an extra $4,500 towards the new car.
There are many people who are not buying a Toyota Prius now because they are waiting for the plug-in version. Of course, there are other factors affecting car buying that include financial reasons. Even so, the new plug-in Prius will be released in 2010.
The 2010 Prius provides outstanding mileage, ultra-low emissions, and a reasonable price. While the hybrid price is one of the greatest strengths of the car, it also includes new revolutionary technologies. One of them is the new Solar Panel Ventilation system.
The Toyota Prius Solar Panel Ventilation system is powered by direct sun. This system is used to cool the hybrid car when the interior temperature reaches 86 degrees. A Solar Roof Package includes the Navigation Package and uses an electric fan to help keep the vehicle cooler when parked under the sun by venting the interior's heated air with the outdoors.
The Toyota Prius gets it name from Latin and means "to go before." While it was first designed to offer better fuel economy, it also has a partial solution to the automobile's problem of tailpipe emissions. As technologically sophisticated as the hybrid is, it's a remarkably practical car to drive on a day-to-day basis.
The 2010 Prius has an EPA combined fuel economy estimate of 51 mpg. Fuel consumption, or fuel-efficiency in hybrid cars is generally measured as distance traveled per unit volume of fuel, as in miles per gallon (mpg), or as the volume of fuel required to cover a given distance, as in litres per 100 kilometres (L/100 km).
Negotiate Your 2010 Toyota Prius Price
When buying the 2010 Prius, you can negotiate a better price with the dealer. Some features including the Toyota Navigational system might be removed in an effort to bring down the price. In addition, some dealerships will tint your windows for free.
However, the Toyota Prius price is still great in comparison to a similar sized Corolla. The price is excellent when you compare to the savings that can offset in the long run. Even so, it still depends on whether the price of gas is above $2 per gallon.
OPEC has already stated that they will slow oil production down until the barrel prices climb to between $40 and $80. Contrary to the statements about oil prices resuming their upward climb, OPEC has no pricing power in the foreseeable future. Oil inventories are so high that speculators, burned by paying $150/barrel last year, are storing their oil off-shore in super-tankers, hoping for a price jump, so they can reduce their losses.
There is also the issue that new cars could go up in price. The pricing of these new cars, including the 2010 Prius, might be set low due to the current economic recession. There is evidence that even the Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid could be priced much higher than the current third-generation.
The Toyota hybrid car has no belts under the hood making it less vulnerable to scheduled maintenance. The new body design is more aerodynamic with the coefficient of drag reduced to more slippery. The 2010 Toyota Prius is price-sensitive, conservatively designed, and has more than a decade of proven reliability since the original model was introduced.
