The 2015 Corvette Z06 convertible is a dream car that’s about to be unveiled at the New York International Auto Show next week. The V-8 engine has everything a Z06 Chevy Corvette can offer with at least 625 horsepower and 635 of torque.

The Z06 offers a new LT4 6.2-liter supercharged motor, making it the most powerful convertible ever built by Chevy.

The automaker said technological advances have allowed it to build a modern version of the classic convertible.

“The Z06 Convertible is a world-class supercar in every sense,” Mark Reuss, head of GM’s global product development, said in a statement. “Only a handful of convertibles in the world bring more than 600 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque. Even fewer can match the advanced technologies, aerodynamic design, and visceral driving experience of the Z06 Convertible.”

The bow-tie brand says the super car is the first convertible of its model to come from the factory since 1963 when just one was ordered. Availability and pricing will be announced later.

Chevy debuted the coupe in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. That vehicle is expected to be available late this year in limited quantities.
