Ford Motor Company has delivered a quality and fuel efficient midsize car with a great Ford Fusion Hybrid Price. The pricing can vary depending on what model and trim level you prefer. The automobile is powered by the combination of a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder gas engine, electric motor and nickel-metal hydride batteries.

Moreover, the 2010 Fusion electric motor delivers more crank than you get from some of the gas engines in most small vehicles. It features several new technologies include advanced regenerative braking that recovers up to 94 percent of the energy lost during braking. This energy is then used to help recharge the battery.

The base MSRP for the 2010 Ford Fusion is $27,270. The difference between the trim levels is the preference of front-wheel or all-wheel drive, and the size of an engine you want. For example, the V6 Sport trim offers a 3.5L Duratec engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission and dual chrome tipped exhaust pipes.

Here’s a word on advice when choosing the right car for the best price. First, if you just need a new Fusion vehicle without all the extra options and larger engine, make that your permanent decision before visiting your local dealer. The sales people will try and sell you a model that includes all the extra components.

As a matter of fact, the sales person will try to sweeten the deal and the Fusion price from one of the higher trim levels. Unless you got the money and can afford all the additions, don’t be convinced. The bottom line is, Ford does offer the best fuel economy midsize car on the market, and you can always go back later to add the eye-candy and additional accessories if you really want them.

The powertrain system combines the best attributes of a gasoline engine and electric battery-driven cars to deliver an optimal mileage rating. The vehicle has a new propulsion system which transitions between gas and electric power and back more efficiently and seamlessly. This system allows the Ford Fusion Hybrid to operate longer at higher speeds in the electric mode.

The vehicle can operate up to 47 mph in the pure electric mode. Plus, the city driving range on a single tank of gas is expected to be more than 700 miles. Ford recently drove the Fusion for more than 1,400 miles on one tank of gas while using driving techniques to conserve fuel.

Most drivers who own the new Ford Hybrid are reporting mpg ratings of 50 to 60 miles per gallon. One of the technologies used in the car is the fuel economy monitor that coaches the driver on fuel saving techniques. Some of them include slower acceleration and slow-coasting braking.

The Ford Fusion already comes with a variety of standard features including the SmartGauge and two futuristic-styled LCD displays that show your real-time driving performance. In addition, this car has a better hybrid system than other fuel-efficient vehicles of this class. The Hybrid car system doesn’t shake and shudder when the system transitions from electric to gasoline power and vice-versa.

The hybrid vehicle also features the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). A lot of people do not realize how potentially dangerous low tires could be. A tire with low pressure is a blowout waiting to happen under certain conditions such as heat. Most people do not check their tires regularly, this is why Tire Pressure Monitor Systems are becoming more common.

The safety features are endless as it provides airbags and seatbelt pretensions. Seatbelt pretensions remove slack from the shoulder belt in the event of a frontal crash, at this point of impact. This intern will prevent the driver/passengers from traveling too far forward prior to being restrained. These seatbelt features in the 2010 Fusion hybrid include pyrotechnic devices that are triggered by Ford’s safety crash sensors.

If you are in the market to buy a new automobile, chances are you’re not shopping for a sports car. You can easily go from a price of $27,270 to over and beyond $30,000 if you want all the options. The cost for the 2010 Ford Fusion is still a decent one.
