A Lamborghini Aventador, which is worth $375,000, caused quite a stir on the side of a California highway in Newport Beach after it caught on fire. The entire episode was filmed and you can check out the video posted below to see how quickly the fire department had the blaze under control.

The driver was taking the Lamborghini out for a test drive when the car suddenly caught on fire. It’s unclear what caused the fire but according to the initial report the “left rear wheel” was engulfed in flames.

According to experts that means the fire probably wasn’t collision related. Videos and photos taken at the scene of the accident appear to confirm that no other vehicles were involved in the Lamborghini’s fire.

Lamborghini said that they aren’t sure what caused the fire but they are “trying to figure out what happened.”

The prospective owner of the car posted a photo of himself standing next to the smoldering piece of metal and he looks pretty calm despite the fact that he just wrecked a $375,000 car.

The super expensive sports car is able to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, at this time it is still unclear how fast the car was traveling before the tire burst into flames.
