The latest Bigfoot discovery in northern Georgia has failed a DNA test. Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer said they found the Bigfoot corpse while hiking in the woods. Tests on material from the remains revealed DNA from an opossum.

When the Bigfoot story first posted about two Georgia men who claim they had a corpse of Bigfoot, people became skeptical. The corpse itself resembles a costume of an ape.

Genetic tests from material allegedly found on the half-ape and half-human were disappointing for Mathew Whitton and Rick Dyer, who found the corpse. The DNA failed to prove any existence of an ape-like human creature that's been reported from Washington state to Florida.

The DNA tests were performed by Curt Nelson, a scientist at the University of Minnesota. Nelson conducted two separate tests. One test revealed the existence of human DNA while the other was 96 percent opossum. An opossum is about the size of a house cat.

Bigfoot creatures are said to live in the forests of the U.S. Pacific Northwest.

Tom Biscardi, who features a weekly online radio show about Bigfoot, announced the DNS results. The results were sent to him directly from Nelson.

Coincidentally, the two men who found the Bigfoot corpse just happen to own a company that offer Bigfoot merchandise. The men say they found the corpse while hiking in the woods.

Biscardi begs to differ. He said the DNA samples may not have been taken correctly. Biscardi also alleged that the samples may have been contaminated.

At the present moment, Biscardi is proceeding with an autopsy of the alleged remains. The corpse is currently in a freezer at an undisclosed location.

Still, most people view this as a complete hoax. Others claim that it's only a trick by the two men in an effort to get people to buy Bigfoot collectives from their company.
