Earl downgrades to tropical storm. Earl is near Nova Scotia and tropical storm warnings for Maine are discontinued. Tropical storm Earl is about 40 miles of Cape Sable, Nova Scotia.
Tropical storm Earl has maximum sustained winds of 70 mph. It is moving to the northeast at 30 mph. There is a tropical storm warning for the entire coast of Nova Scotia.
