Jack Wishna, CEO of CPAmerica, was found dead of an apparent suicide. The 54-year-old popular Las Vegas music “dealmaker’s” body was found at his Las Vegas, Nevada home.
Wishna was found inside of his car, which was in his garage, where passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning. Authorities have ruled the death a suicide.
Wishna aided in introducing legendary celebrity figures such as Wayne Newton, Michael Jackson, and Donald Trump to Las Vegas. Since 1991, he has been a big-name in the hotel, gambling, and leisure industry.
His close family members and close friends were in shock about his sudden passing. Nothing seemed out-of-the-ordinary to them in the days before he committed suicide.
Felix Rappaport, president of The Mirage, told the Review-Journal that Wishna, 54, had missed a lunch meeting Tuesday.
“He never showed up, and Jack was always punctual, generally very early,” said Rappaport, a close friend of Wishna’s.
According to Wishna’s associate Dan Wilinsky, the well-known music “dealmaker” will always be remembered for orchestrating the multimillion-dollar agreement between performer Wayne Newton and the Stardust casino in Las Vegas. Wayne released in a statement that Wishna had been a “longtime friend” and that his death comes as a “tremendous surprise.”
Prior to Wishna’s death, he was creating RockCityClub.com, a social media website for musicians and their fans. He is survived by his wife, Donna.
“It comes as a tremendous surprise. Jack and Donna have been longtime friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with Donna during this time of great loss. Jack will be missed, Wayne Newton said in a statement.
