Papa Johns Racial Slur – The pizza chain is apologizing for a racial slur that was used by one of its employees to describe a female customer of Asian descent on her receipt in a New York City location on Friday.

The customer, Minhee Cho snapped a picture of the typed receipt and posted it to her Twitter account along with a message. In the pic you can see that the receipt says, “lady chinky eyes,” on it next to the the word ‘name’.

After going viral on Twitter, Papa John’s took to their own Twitter and Facebook pages to apologize for the poorly chosen description of the woman. Papa John’s also stated that the employee had been fired.

Tish Muddon, a spokeswomen for Papa John’s, which is based in Louisville, Kentucky, said that they were trying to personally gat a hold of Mrs. Cho to apologize, according to the Louisville Courier-Journal

The message Cho added to the pic read, “Hey @PapaJohns just FYI my name isn’t “lady chinky eyes.”

Papa John’s Twitter response read, “We have issued an apology, are reaching out to customer & franchise employee is being terminated.”

In the US, Papa Johns is the third largest pizza delivery and take-out pizza chain, behind Pizza Hut and Domino’s.
