Verizon Data Outage – Verizon Wireless network access has been restored following a data outage that affected 3G and 4G services. This is the mobile network’s second interruption this month as customers vent their anger on Twitter, indicating the problem was nationwide and is various states.
It appears that the issue affected Florida, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, California, New Jersey, and Ohio among others.
A Verizon Wireless customer in Denver, Colorado, was upset about losing service at 1 a.m. At 5 a.m., he’s still waiting for it to be resolved. The issue is still relevant as of 6:30 a.m. at press time. When checking the Verizon forums, there are still angry customers, but it’s winding down.
What should wireless customers do?
Some of the company’s 4G users could restore their service by turning on their CDMA-only mode. However, their access was meager. According to CNET, Verizon 3G users are also being affected, but the outage is primarily affecting the 4G LTE network.
The data carrier has confirmed that there is a problem, but they remain quiet, and there’s no information if the company will send out a press release today.
Customers who have spoken with representatives were told that it’s unclear when the issue will be fixed.
“Our engineers are aware of the problem and our technicians are working diligently to resolve the problem,” a customer was told.
The previous Verizon data outage began earlier this month, on December 6, when 4G LTE customer experienced disruption problems. It took the wireless carrier two days to resolve the issue.
