Actor Michael Madsen Arrested After Alleged Fight With Son – Actor Michael Madsen, typically known for being cast in roles as a tough guy in films such as “Reservoir Dogs,” “Donnie Brasco,” and “Kill Bill,” was arrested over the weekend for an alleged fight with his teenage son.
Los Angeles County deputies were dispatched to Madsen’s Malibu home on Friday after a call to the Sheriff’s office about a domestic disturbance. After an investigation at the home, Madsen was taken into custody without incident and charged with cruelty to a child.
The 54 -year-old Madsen “appeared under the influence of alcohol,” the sheriff’s department said in a statement.
After apparently paying his $100,000 bail, Madsen was released on Saturday morning and told TMZ reporter’s that it was all “a big misunderstanding.”
The fight between the two was reported to be over the fact Madsen got angry when he found one of his five sons with marijuana, and he refused to turn it over.
“[Michael] found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It’s a family matter and Michael asks that his families privacy be respected,” Madsen’s attorney reportedly told TMZ.
Aside from participating in over 150 film’s, Madsen has done voice over work for video games such as, “Grand Theft Auto III,” and “True Crime: Streets of L.A.” He also has been a contestant on the U.K.’s “Celebrity Big Brother.”
