Adriana Lima had a little accident, a wardrobe malfunction, after she wore the Alberta Ferretti dress on backwards in Miami at the historic Vizcaya and Gardens Museum.
Everything was going as planned until the Victoria’s Secret model wore the gown in a different direction than what the designer intended on the Alberta Ferretti Spring 2013 runway.
The look was designed for a low back, but Lima had thought the dress came with a lower front, which barely covered her breasts. The confusion in the dressing room was probably awkward at best.
However, Lima didn’t miss a beat, and the gown certainly looked great with its cutout side panels with white detailing.
But it’s not the first time that a wardrobe malfunction like this happened.
Angelina Jolie wore a Max Azria gown to the 2009 SAG Awards in the wrong direction and, earlier this year, Amanda Seyfried zipped up the front of her Bodyamr cocktail frock at the L.A. premiere of “Mother and Child.” While Jolie received an A+ for her fashion acumen, Seyfried wasn’t so lucky.
Lima definitely demonstrated how the show must go on.
