Amanda Bynes is once again in trouble with the law after her car was impounded on Sunday for driving with a suspended driver’s license.
“I can confirm that Amanda Bynes was cited at approximately 8:20 a.m. Sunday for driving with a suspended license,” Victor Gill of the Burbank Airport Police told USA Today. “Her car was impounded and she received a misdemeanor citation. She was not arrested. I believe she was by herself. This occurred on Hollywood Way, just south of the main entrance to the Bob Hope Airport.”
The actress’ driving privileges were suspended after she was charged with hit-and-run in connection with two traffic crashes, one on April 10 and another on August 4. The first alleged hit-and-run incident came just days after she was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, to which Bynes pleaded not guilty.
Fellow former child star Lindsay Lohan took to Twitter on Sunday night weighing in on Bynes’ troubles.
“Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?” Lindsay Tweeted. “These are the moments that I appreciate my life experiences, living without regrets and Disney for supporting me as an actress,” she added.
However, Lohan’s complaints are a little skewed. In fact, Bynes currently faces three charges: one DUI and two counts of misdemeanor hit-and-run for incidents occurring on April 6, 10 and August 4, respectively.
Bynes, 26, due in court on Sept. 21. If convicted, she could face up to six months in prison and a $1,000 fine.
