Amanda Seyfried has showed off her acting skills in several major films, but now Seyfried was forced to call on her improvisation techniques after a nasty mishap on Tuesday.
As it turns out, the 27-year-old actress tried to mask her pain and put on a brave face after twisting her ankle in her skyscraper heels.
Seyfried’s slip up was in full view of a large crowd of fans who had come out to see the actress arrive for her appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in New York.
Seyfried may have been promoting her new film Lovelace, but the star steered clear of a revealing ensemble as she dressed in a conservative pretty pink outfit.
Seyfried channeled a Park Avenue princess in her Balmain ensemble of checked top and matching ruffled skirt.

After stopping to sign autographs and take photos with her adoring fans, the actress ran back across the street to the studio, promptly twisting her ankle in the process.
“I’m fine,” Seyfried said, as she tried to mask her pain, giving onlookers a cheery wave as she headed inside for her interview.
However, she could be seen grimacing in pain as she lost her footing. She managed to regain her composure, plastering on a smile and giving a thumbs up and a cheery wave to the cameras.
Seyfried was comforted by her constant companion, her beloved dog Finn who she shared cuddles with outside the studio.
Talking about her love for her pet pooch Seyfried has said: “He cuddles with me and he listens to me and he loves me and he looks at me all the time. Come on, like, people don’t praise you like that.”
The mutt even has its own Twitter account, presumably run by Seyfried.
