Actress Amber Tamblyn and actor David Cross got married this past weekend after dating for 3 years and another year of being engaged.
Tamblyn, 28, has appeared in several movies after getting her start on “General Hospital.”
Cross, 46, is best known for his role as Tobias Funke on Fox’s “Arrested Development.”
Filmmaker Lance Bangs, who was a guest at the wedding, broke the news online by posting a photo of the newlyweds enjoying their first dance to the sounds of indie rockers Yo La Tengo, who performed at the reception. In addition, Hip-hop producer and drummer of The Roots, Ahmir ‘?uestlove’ Thompson, served as the DJ at the reception.
This is the first marriage for both Tamblyn and Cross. At a May comedy stage show, the couple appeared together and talked about how they began their relationship and made fun of their age differences.
“I was slow to make any moves because of our age difference, and also because she was a fan,” Cross said.
It was reported that the recently wed Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attended the private Saturday reception. Lively and Tamblyn starred together in “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,” in 2005 and have been best friends ever since.
Cross was involved in controversy when in a 2012 interview with Playboy magazine, he admitted that he had snorted a small amount of cocaine at the 2009 White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Cross said, “It wasn’t like I got high…It was just about being able to say that I did it, that I did cocaine in the same room as the president.”
