During filming of the 9th season, the new “Bachelor,” Sean Lowe was involved in a car crash during production of the ABC reality dating show.
The Texas native, as well as other members of the show’s crew in the car, was said to be safe and sound after the Monday car crash that took place during filming in an undisclosed location.
Aside from not mentioning where the car crash happened, no details were given to the extent of damage or even how the accident occurred. There have been reports that witnesses have seen the show filming in Colorado and Canada.
Executive producer, Mike Fleiss did tweet, “Sean and several of my beloved producers were in a car accident yesterday. Thank God everyone is OK … We’ve had more emergencies this season than ever – Whew!”
One detail that Fleiss eluded to about the crash was that the shows host, Chris Harrison was driving the car at the time of the accident.
Fleiss posted a second tweet, “Thanful [sic] that everyone is ok after the car crash. Never letting @chrisbharrison get behind the wheel again…”
No word if footage of the car crash will be included in the upcoming season, but due to no one being seriously injured and for a bit of dramatic hype, it is probably a good guess to say it will be.
Sean Lowe was selected as this year’s bachelor after he appeared on last season’s “Bachelorette” as a third-place finisher and fan favorite. The next season of the “Bachelor” will premiere in January of 2013.
