Barbara Walters Questions Kim Kardashian About Her Fame

Barbara Walters hosted her annual “10 Most Fascinating People” for the year and along with Kim she named the Kardashian sisters number 2 on the list.

It looks like Walters thinks the Kardashian’s are more fascinating than anyone else besides Steve Jobs, but theres a reason for it: She doesn’t understand their level of fame.

Along with Kim, her sisters and mother, Kris Jenner, appeared on the special to try to explain.

Walters asked Kim directly “You don’t really act; you don’t sing; you don’t dance, you don’t have any — forgive me — any talent!”

Kim, responded, “I think it’s more of a challenge to go on a reality show and get people to fall in love with you for being you. So, there’s definitely a lot more pressure, I think, to be famous for being ourselves.”

Walters then questioned her about the 2007 sex tape that came out. “You became famous. So, was it a good thing to have done?” asked Walters with an arched eyebrow.

Kim simply said, “I’ve made mistakes in my life, for sure.” Her mother quickly added, “And you’ve learned a lot from it.”

So Walters asked Jenner, “How did you feel?,” asked Walters, turning to Kris. “It was devastating for the whole family. You cry yourself to sleep for a few nights, then you hire a really good attorney and try to make something better — or, you know, happen.”
