Bernie Ecclestone, the Formula 1 racing boss, marries Fabiana Flosi in a secret ceremony at his ski chalet in Switzerland. The 81-year-old tycoon wed the Brazilian marketing director at his exclusive Le Leon property in the resort of Gstaad.
The motoring mogul announced his engagement in April and proposed with a ring worth more than $100,000. His daughter’s Tamara and Petra, failed to attend the wedding and remained in Los Angeles. Tamara made no reference to her father’s wedding to her 86,147 followers on Twitter.
Ecclestone and Miss Flosi began dating in 2009 following the end of his 23-year marriage to Slavica. They met through their work on the Brazilian Grand Prix where she is F1’s vice-president of marketing.
Petra is staying with her sister in her $52 million mansion since Tamara split from boyfriend Omar Khyami a month ago.
“Sorry I’ve been quiet recently, how are you all?,” she wrote days after her father’s wedding.
In May, Tamara told The Mail on Sunday she had no plans to attend her father’s wedding out of loyalty to her mother, former Armani model Slavica.
But family sources said relations between Ecclestone and his daughters had been further strained by his decision to marry at Le Lion, the chalet where the entire family spend Christmas and where Tamara had previously hoped to marry.
