Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey will record a duet for Christmas. The word of the dynamic duo’s project came from Justin. In fact, she posted a video on her Twitter page saying that two singers will be re-doing her holiday 1994 hit.
The song will be included on Bieber’s first full holiday album that will be in stores on November 1st with the title “Under The Mistletoe.”
Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey took to twitter about how excited they are to collaborate duet. “who is the living legend that I got on the album???? Bieber wrote. “I mean the fact that I might be singing with one of the greatest voices ever one of the greatest songs of christmas ever… #NOV1st” he continued. He then also posted a video saying it would be the one and only Mariah Carey.
Mariah went on to say of the song and duet to her fans, “I think a lot of you are very surprised by this and you’re going to be even more surprised when you hear it. The song sounds great. I’m very excited for everybody to hear it this Christmas and to be totally festive with our festive collabo.”
Other musicians that will be collaborating on the Bieber project will include, Usher, Boys II Men and Busta Rhymes along with the up-and-coming group, The Band Perry.
“All I Want for Christmas Is You” was released by Columbia Records on November 1, 1994 as the lead single from the fourth studio album by Carey. The instrumental includes bell chimes and heavy back-up vocals, as well as use of synthesizers. The lyrics declare that the protagonist does not care about presents or lights; all she wants is to be united with her lover for the holidays.
