Justin Bieber’s monkey, which is named Mally, had to be detained by German customs officials because the singer didn’t have the proper documents to enter the country.
The pet capuchin had to be quarantined while Bieber went on stage to continue his “Believe” tour in Europe.
“Justin Bieber brought his monkey to Germany, but had no official paperwork with him,” Thomas Meister, spokesman for the customs office at the Franz Josef Strauss Airport in Munich, told the magazine. “We were forced to confiscate the animal.”
Mally was given to Bieber last week from record producer Jamal Shaid. The pair quickly bonded, with Bieber frequently featuring the monkey on his Instagram feed.
Bieber has been in the news lately because of some bad decisions he made. Some fans believe he’s going down the wrong path.
For example, he allowed rapper Lil Twist to host a pot party at his house while he was touring in Europe. There were several photos that hit the Internet showing bongs and beer cans scattered throughout Bieber’s mansion.
It’s still not known Bieber will ever get things right with Selena Gomez, but he did visit her before his flight to Germany.
