Brad Pitt now owns an island for his 50th birthday, thanks to Angelina Jolie, who paid $19 million for the paradise getaway. It’s actually the perfect place to keep away from the paparazzi.
The new ocean retreat boasts two luxurious properties designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, who is apparently one of his favorite architects. “As soon as Angelina heard the island was on the market she arranged a viewing,” a source told The Mirror. “She was really impressed.”
Pitt’s birthday present is getting a lot of attention, especially by other reports that are trying to debunk the story. The island’s seclusion proves, if true, to be suitable for the notoriously private Brangelina family.
It does make sense for vacations because the family will be hidden from the paparazzi.
“The house is perfect for romantic getaways or as a family retreat,” the insider said, adding that Jolie knows the picturesque heart shape will “mean so much” to Brad on his birthday.
Built in 2008, the home includes several sky-lit rooms and panoramic views of the island, with rock and wood fixtures throughout the property for a natural look.
