Brigitte Nielsen admits that she had a hot and intense relationship with Arnold Schwarzenegger at the same time he was dating Maria Shriver, in a new book named, “Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story.” She was co-staring with him at the time in “Red Sonja.”
Nielsen actually beat Arnold to the punch by disclosing the “outrageous affair” with Schwarzenegger in her memoir, which was published last year. So, really the former California governor had no choice but to come clean.
Arnold was not married at the time of the affair, and Brigitte claims that she was unaware that he was involved Maria Shriver. At the time, they were only dating; however, they were living together.
Since the affair, the 49-year-old actress has been married five times, and in 2005, she had a relationship with rapper Flavor Flav. In 2008, Nielsen took a step in the right direction, and went on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” for her alcohol addiction.
Schwarzenegger ended up marring Shriver in 1986, and separating in 2011 after he fathered a child with their housekeeper.
He describes the moment Shriver learned of his infidelity, according to CNN, writing: “The minute we sat down, the therapist turned to me and said, ‘Maria wanted to come here today and to ask about a child — whether you fathered a child with your housekeeper Mildred.’ I told the therapist, It’s true.”
