Cameron Diaz will play the lead with co-star Jason Segel in a raunchy comedy called “Sex Tape,” directed by Jake Kasdan. For the most part, it’s simply a “Bad Teacher” reunion for Diaz.
In fact, the actress, who helped turn that comedy into an unexpected smash hit, will join Segel in a new film with familiar cast.
The Kate Angelo-penned story follows a married couple who take a night off from their kids and decide to spice up their lives by making a sex tape.
But when they wake up the next morning from their night of amateur tape making, the video is gone and they have to track it down.
For the most part, it’s a pretty good concept, and both Segel and Diaz certainly had the comedic chemistry down in “Bad Teacher,” even if the movie didn’t always work, so we’re hopeful this’ll work out.
No word yet on when production will begin, but next up for Diaz is the comedy revenge flick “The Other Woman,” which begins filming soon.
