Candace Cameron Bure Bulimia - Full House actress battles eating disorder. Candace Cameron Bure battled bulimia for years. The Full House actress, known as D.J. Tanner on the family-friendly sitcom, talks about her weight loss and suffering.

Bure discussed how she battled with bulimia for a number of years after the filming of 'Full House' ended. Apparently, her bulimia coincided with her adjustment to her new life in Canada with her husband. On June 22, 1996, Cameron married Russian NHL hockey player Valeri Bure. They were introduced by Candace's former Co-Star from "Full House" Dave Coulier.

When discussing her struggle Bure stated, "It wasn't about me trying to lose weight. It was all about emotions."

The couple has three children together: Natasha Valerievna Bure, 12, Lev Valerievich Bure, 10, and Maksim Valerievich Bure, 8.
Candace published her book Reshaping It All: Motivation for Physical and Spiritual Fitness in late Dec of 2010. In this book is where she first revealed her eating disorder secret.

In addition to her publishing, she endorsed an online Christian homeschooling academy. She is a spokesperson for National House of Hope, a Christian organization for teens. Currently, she and her family reside in Los Angeles, California, where her ABC Family series "Make It or Break It" is produced.
