“Dancing with the Stars” judge Carrie Ann Inaba admitted on “Access Hollywood Live” that she met her fiance, Jesse Sloan, not at a Hollywood party or film premiere, but online! “I met him on eHarmony,” the 43-year-old beauty said. “I was dating all these younger guys. I was like, ‘Maybe I need to change it up a litte.’ ”
The potential for disaster for a high-profile figure on a dating website is rather high. So when Inaba first signed up for the Internet dating site, she posted a profile that kept her true identity hidden. “I didn’t put up a picture, I didn’t put anything about who I was,” she explained.
The men Carrie Ann was interested in needed to be a lot more forthcoming, though. “I was like, ‘You need to be sexy. I need to be attracted to you,'” she said. “I really put exactly what I wanted. ‘I love cats!’ ”
After months of emailing, Inaba finally sent Sloan a photo of herself and the two arranged a supervised first date at the home of Inaba’s friend. Since then, things have gone great for the couple. And while the couple is engaged, they’re also hoping to become parents as soon as possible.
“We’re trying for a baby, absolutely,” Inaba said. “Whichever comes first is fine. We don’t have to be married to have the baby. My age at 43, I have to get moving on the baby. The wedding can come later.”
Starting her career as a singer in Japan, Carrie Ann Inaba became best known for her dancing, first introducing herself to American audiences as one of the original Fly Girls on the sketch comedy series In Living Color.
