Casper Van Dien has filed for divorce from his wife of 16 years, ’80s soap star Catherine Oxenberg, according to People.
Van Dien, 46, cited irreconcilable differences in divorce documents filed this week. Casper asked for joint custody of their two daughters, Maya, 14, and Celeste, 11 — both of whom already have acting credits of their own.
He reportedly refuses to pay spousal support to the 54-year-old Oxenberg, who starred as Amanda Carrington on the ABC series “Dynasty” and is the daughter of Princess Elizabeth of former Yugoslavia.
Casper Van Dien was married to Carrie Mitchum, daughter of famous actor Robert Mitchum, from 1993-1997.
Oxenburg was briefly married to famous producer and former studio head Robert Evans before the marriage was annulled 9 days later.
Originally meeting on the set of 1999’s TV movie The Collectors, Van Dien and Oxenburg went on to work on the Evangelical Christian thriller The Omega Code before getting married that same year.
They briefly starred in their own reality show titled I Married a Princess, a name derived from Oxenburg’s royal heritage, that ran on Lifetime for only one season in 2005.
More recently, the former married couple starred in one of the Syfy Network’s cult horror offerings, Sharktopus vs. Whalewolf.
