Charlie Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’ Gets Premiere Date
FX has finally released a premiere date on Charlie Sheens new comedy show called, “Anger Management.”
The Fox extended network announced on Tuesday that the show will air back to back episodes on its premiere night of Thursday, June 28th starting at 9 P.M..
There have been 10 episodes ordered for the summer season, and each week after the premiere night a new episode will be aired at 9:30 p.m., following a repeat of the last week’s episode at 9 P.M..
“We have seen the first two scripts,” says Chuck Saftler, executive vice president of FX Networks. “This is a traditional sitcom, and it’s very funny. We have very high expectations for it. We really believe [executive producer] Bruce Helford and Charlie to be a very powerful combination.”
Officials announced that if the initial 10 episodes hit certain rating marks, and additional 90 episodes will be ordered, with half airing in 2013 and the other half airing in 2014.
The series will be based on the 2003 Adam Sandler movie of the same name, with a perhaps a little of Sheen’s ‘Major League’ sprinkled in.
In the series, Sheen will play an ex-minor-league baseball player who has his career taken away due to his anger problems. Then, he becomes involved with an anger management therapist with non-traditional methods of helping him.
