Charlize Theron – It seems Theron is receiving a lot of attention after an apparent relationship rumor. While Charlize dismissed the rumor, Modern Family actor Eric Stonestreet laughed it off, but hoped that he could score a date with the beautiful actress. However, most people don’t see any chemistry with the two.
There were a lot of false reports last weekend by several blogs claiming that the two were a couple. Even so, the rumors were immediately hit head on, and the subject fizzled a short time later. Why would anyone think these two were together in the first place?
“I wish people would stop spreading rumors that Charlize Theron and I are dating. Its starting to make Halle Berry jealous,” Stonestreet jokingly said.
He followed that quip up by revealing his date to Sunday night’s Emmy awards, tweeting: “Today I’m taking my best friend Paul to the Emmys. He dared me to audition for the first play I ever did at #kstate. #Emmys”
The random rumors started between Theron, 37, and Stonestreet, 41, after the ABC star split from his longtime girlfriend Katherine Tokarz, while the Young Adult star and new mom has been relatively single since her split from actor Stuart Townsend.
Stonestreet and Theron were also pictured together this past April at the White House Correspondents Dinner.
Berry, 46, is engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez, 46, but that didn’t stop Stonestreet from having a little fun. “She was so cold to me this morning when she saw these rumors,” he said of the Monster’s Ball actress. “It was just quiet — fork and knife on the plate. Halle and I weren’t speaking at all. And I’m like, ‘Halle, listen! It’s just a rumor. It’s not a real.’”
Stonestreet added that he “would love to know” why anyone would link him to Theron, who split with actor Stuart Townsend in 2010 after nine years together and apparently hasn’t had a serious relationship since.
