Chelsea Clinton Leaving NBC – Chelsea Clinton might be leaving NBC’s “Rock Center” and “Nightly News” with Brian Williams, and it comes at a time when critics are giving bad reviews of her appearance on the network.

Keep in mind that a lot of these “sources” that claim she is leaving are anonymous, and we can’t verify them, but it doesn’t mean they’re not true. However, the one person that seems to have solid information about these allegations is our friends at The Washington Post.

Clinton is in a short-term contract right now with NBC, which is about to expire, and the rumor is she is leaving the network after she finishes two more stories.

Both sides agreed to the contract deal which, was only for a 90-day work period, because Clinton wanted too see if it was something she was going to like. The work she was contracted for was reporting the “Making A Difference” segments for “Nightly News and “Rock Center.”

But things haven’t gone well for Chelsea, as Hank Stuever of The Washington Post being critical of her wrote, “Either we’re spoiled by TV’s unlimited population of giant personalities or this woman is one of the most boring people of her era.”

There were reports from some sources alleging that NBC had set Chelsea up to fail by overhyping her role, and had unrealistic expectations for her, and that she is unsure if she will re-sign with the network because she wasn’t happy about it.

However, an NBC rep recently said of all the negative stories that it is, “100 percent false. You will see more pieces from Chelsea. She has been warmly welcomed into this news division, and we can’t be more pleased with her work. We hope she will be with us for a long time. There was no over-hyping of her role.”

A rep for Clinton added, “Chelsea is at the beginning of her contract, and when she gets closer to the end, discussions will begin about whether or not to renew. In the meantime she is very much enjoying her time there and looking forward to her next piece airing.”
