Corey Feldman owes his ex-wife child support. Susie Feldman is taking legal action against the actor for failure to pay support for their child. Corey’s wife claims that her husband has neglected to contribute to the upbringing of their seven-year-old son.
Susie’s former maiden last name was Sprague and is a former Playboy model. She first met Corey when she was celebrating her 19th birthday with several of her friends at Las Palmas in Hollywood. He proposed to her on Valentine’s Day, 2002, via an elaborate proposal that included a rented cabin ion Big Bear Lake, and an engagement ring contained in a series of boxes reminiscent of Russian nesting dolls.
At the time of their engagement, Feldman was already filming the popular reality show, “The Surreal Life” on VH1. The show’s producers approached Corey and his wife about moving their wedding date, so they could get married on the show finale. The couple agreed, and were married on the show on October 30, 2002.
The wedding cost $100,000, the ceremonies presided by both a rabbi and rapper-turned-minister MC Hammer.
Susie later gave birth to their son, Zen Scott Feldman, on August 7, 2004. Their child spent the first six weeks of his life in the neonatal intensive care unit. In October 2009, the couple divorced, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
In papers, filed at Los Angeles County Superior Court, she is asking a judge to award her $307 a month, a figure based on Corey’s monthly income of $1,387. In addition, she wants him to provide health insurance for their son. She’s reached out to her local child support agency to seek payments.
