Cyndi Lauper has signed with America’s WE TV cable network to debut her own reality TV show in January. The singer has already invited camera crews into her home for a 12-part series.
The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” hitmaker is hilarious on television, as she was on NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump, and the show promises not to let her fans down.
Lauper will be followed by cameras as she juggles life as an entertainer, mother to her 14-year-old son Declyn, and wife to her husband of 20 years, David Thornton.
The pop star, who competed on Donald Trump’s The Celebrity Apprentice in 2010, was initially due to team with TV mogul Mark Burnett and launch a reality show called “Cyndi” this summer, but the project never materialized.
Lauper will also make her appearance on the 40th Anniversary American Music Awards, which will broadcast live from the NOKIA Theatre on Sunday, November 18 on ABC.
