Danica McKellar turned 40 last Saturday and looks better than ever, thanks to her longtime discipline to eating healthy and exercising. McKellar, who’s the mom of a five-year-old boy, credits a low-carb gluten-free diet, dancing and yoga workouts for her hot bikini body, according to The Inquisitr. She also said she eats very clean.
“I don’t eat gluten, I don’t eat dairy, I don’t eat sugar,” said Danica. “And the only thing I drink is water. I eat really, really clean. I’m very strict.”
The 40-year-old, who starred on the hit TV series “The Wonder Years” from 1988 to 1993, doesn’t deprive herself, but makes a point to fill up on nutritious whole foods. Danica recently finished in 6th place on season 18 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The super-toned McKellar said her usual workouts are low-impact and center around yoga.
“I do yoga, I actually have a yoga DVD called Daily Dose of Dharma,” said Danica.
As Danica McKellar turns 40, she still works hard. She used to work out up to seven hours a day for “Dancing With the Stars” with partner Valentin Chmerkovskiy. She said the grueling dance training was fun but exhausting.
Danica also explained that it’s more about eating clean than just fitness. That might sound like minimal options for the pint-sized starlet, but they seem to fulfill her just fine. She does eat a lot of food, but it’s all brown rice and vegetables with lean meats.
As Danica McKellar turns 40, fans still remember her as the child star playing Winnie Cooper on “The Wonder Years,” She pursued a mathematics degree at UCLA and graduated with honors.
As an undergraduate, she co-authored a scientific paper with Professor Lincoln Chayes and fellow student Brandy Winn entitled “Percolation and Gibbs states multiplicity for ferromagnetic Ashkin-Teller models” Their results are termed the “Chayes–McKellar–Winn theorem.” Referring to the mathematical abilities of his student co-authors, Chayes said, “I thought that the two were really, really first-rate.” McKellar’s Erdos number is four and her Erdos–Bacon number is 6.
Danica McKellar turned 40 without a big party. It’s typical for most people who turn 30, or 40 to celebrate it with cake and ice-cream, but not McKellar. She spent time with friends and stayed true to eating clean.
