Daniel Radcliffe admits that he was drunk during some of the Harry Potter scenes and that his drinking problem will probably tarnish the film series forever.
However, Daniel Radcliffe did want to clear up any misunderstandings, in that he did not get drunk while on the Harry Potter set itself.
the 22-year-old Daniel Radcliffe admits to being drunk during some of the scenes in the “Harry Potter” series when he had a drinking problem.
“I don’t want to go into details but I drank a lot and it was daily – I mean nightly. I can honestly say I never drank at work on ‘Harry Potter.’ I went into work still drunk, but I never drank at work,” the 22-year-old star told British entertainment magazine “Heat” in an interview.
“I can point to many scenes where I’m just gone. Dead behind the eyes,” Radcliffe added.
He first started drinking in order to help him socially, “I loved the fact I suddenly could talk to people and feel so entertaining and so interesting. But after a while, you’re living under such a cloud of shame about what you’ve done and the dread of who you might see, what you might have said to them, what you might have done with them,” the actor said
Radcliffe had talked about the drinking problem in the past and said that in August of 2010 gave it up as he found himself being to reliant on it. “You either have to change something or give into that shame and I wasn’t prepared to do that at 21,” he told Heat.
