Danielle Fishel is sharing her world with another boy in the real life, even though Topanga Matthews may be TV’s favorite couple. Fishel, 32, married her boyfriend of nearly five years, Tim Belusko, 25, on Saturday, her rep confirmed to People magazine.
The “Boy Meets World” star and her beau exchanged vows in a “short and sweet” ceremony at Los Angeles cathedral Vibiana, her rep said. The couple wed in front of 200 guests, with six bridesmaids and groomsmen looking on. “Tim is the one,” she previously told the mag. “He accepts me for exactly who I am!”
The actress broke the news of her engagement — along with announcing that she had finally completed college — in a post to her Tumblr page in December 2012.
“I persevered and sometimes I wasn’t the oldest person in class, some of the whisperers became good friends, and I did so well in math, I even became a tutor,” she wrote. “And that is how I met my fiancé.”
Devoted “Boy Meets World” fans, who have always hoped Cory and Topanga would be an item in real life, will still get to see Fishel and Ben Savage, 33, play husband and wife on the spin-off “Girl Meets World,” even if their sparks never really flew.
“We went on one date, when I was about 15, and by the time the dinner was over we realized mutually that we were more like family than lovers,” Fishel told Maxim magazine about her longtime on-screen love.
“The most important thing is that the day feels authentic to us,” the bride recently told People. “We’re traditional, but also a bit wacky!”
Fishel’s “Boy Meets World” co-star Rider Strong is also set to wed this weekend. People confirmed that he will tie the knot with Alexandra Berreto in Oregon on Sunday.
