Dannielynn Birkhead attended the 140th Kentucky Derby in Louisville Saturday with father Larry, and she looked adorable in a butterfly princess dress. Dannielynn is looking more like her deceased mother Anna Nicole Smith.
After all, it was at the hat-loving Kentucky Oaks Day where the 41-year-old first met the Playboy model.
Larry and Dannielynn will star on the season three finale of ABC’s Celebrity Wife Swap airing May 27.
“I am not married so I swapped my sister with the wife of race car driver Hélio Castroneves,” Birkhead told The Courier-Journal. The three-time Indianapolis 500 winner has a four-year-old daughter Mikaella with his partner Adriana Henao. The last time the Birkhead twosome appeared on TV was in November for their E! documentary Life After Anna Nicole.
“We live in Kentucky and it’s kind of a paparazzi free zone,” the single father told The Today Show at the time. “I’m being both parents, so I think that I just try to give her a good foundation and try to just be there for her at all times.”
Even when Dannielynn followed in her mother’s footsteps modeling for Guess Kids last year, Larry made sure she kept up with her studies.
“15 minutes after she was done with the Guess photo, she was back on book reports,” the former freelance photographer said. “For her it was something cool. Her mother was a Guess girl and now she is a Guess girl.”
Larry and Anna Nicole dated for two years and, in 2007, the troubled bombshell was found dead at 39 from overdosing on chloral hydrate and other prescription meds.
According to TMZ, a Californian judge ruled that Dannielynn will be entitled to up to $49 million of billionaire J. Howard Marshall’s estate.
Anna Nicole was 26 when she wed the 89-year-old oil tycoon a year before his death.
