Dave Mustaine Tells Public To Avoid Men’s Wearhouse

Dave Mustaine is unhappy about the service he received when he purchased a gift card from the Men’s Warehouse. On Dec. 28, the Megadeth founder went on his Facebook page to vent about the clothing company.

“A few days before Christmas I purchased a gift certificate from the Men’s Warehouse in Salt Lake City, Utah as a gift for our awesome tour manager Jim Carroccio. You know the Men’s Warehouse… the old geezer with the voice that sounds like he has chain-smoked since he was a fetus; the one that espouses, “I absolutely guarantee you’re gonna like the way you look,” or some manure like that, right?”

Apparently, the Men’s Wearhouse failed to make good on their guaranteed two-day delivery of a gift card for his “awesome” tour manager.

“I really think that it sucks when people make false claims, that they don’t care to make good on a problem that is clearly their fault, and with all of the ‘ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE IT’ crap I just had to say something,” wrote Mustaine.

The 51-year-old rocker claims that he purchased the gift card at a Men’s Wearhouse (MW) in Salt Lake City prior to Christmas, and it still hadn’t been delivered to his tour manager. He went so far as to suggest that suit-wearing headbangers take their business to JoS. A Bank Clothier (JOSB) instead.

“I for one, will never set foot in a Men’s Wearhouse, even for shelter from a blizzard,” wrote Mustaine. “I absolutely GUARANTEE it.”

A social media representative from Men’s Wearhouse wrote an apology to Mustaine on Wednesday, Jan. 2.

“Dave, thanks for reaching out to us on Facebook. We apologize for the delay in receiving your gift card and agree that the delay is unacceptable. Customer satisfaction is our highest priority and we stand by our guarantee to deliver world class customer service. So, we’d like to speak with you about a solution but are having some trouble reaching you since we last connected on 12/28. Please send your contact info to and our team will help you right away,” wrote Joe, Men’s Wearhouse Social Media Team.
