NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders was ordered to pay his wife Pilar $10,550 in monthly child support as part of their divorce settlement, which at times has been ugly.
The child support isn’t the only thing Sanders will have to shell out. He was also ordered by the Texas judge to pay a $3,500 a month house payment that his soon to be ex-wife and children will be living in when they are not with him.
In addition, the judge also ordered Sanders to pay Pilar her recent legal fees of $275,000. Currently, she wants an additional $14,000 a month in alimony payments, claiming that the Sanders’ estate is worth $250 million, and she did not have a job or any source of income.
Sanders has 3 children with Pilar and also has 2 other children from a previous marriage.
The former Dallas Cowboys player began to seek a divorce from Pilar when he served her with papers late in 2011.
One thing Sanders was granted was a protective order stating that she must stay at least 500 feet away from his mansion since there has been some domestic abuse against each other in the past.
The divorce proceedings have been ugly, from fighting over something as small as who gets a toaster and other household items to who gets custody of their 3 children this summer.
The remaining portion of the Sanders’ divorce case will now move into private proceedings.
