Demi Moore to play Gloria Steinem in ‘Lovelace’ biopic

Demi Moore – Actress Demi Moore will play feminist, social and political activist Gloria Steinem in a movie about Linda Lovelace and the 1972 movie Deep Throat.

The biopic will be simply titled “Linda Lovelace” and actress Amanda Seyfried will play Lovelace.

Demi will portray the role of the woman known to be the leader of the women’s liberation movement in the late 60’s. Seyfried is taking over the role of Lovelace which was originally designed for Lindsey Lohan, but she had to be replaced due to the legal troubles.

Others that have been mentioned to possibly join Demi Moore and Amanda Seyfried in the movie are Eric Roberts, Sharon Stone, and Hank Azaria, with a possibility of James Franco playing Hugh Hefner.

Gloria Steinem has been a voice for women most of her life fighting for women’s equal rights and has been a supporter of abortion, same sex marriages and an advocate against pornography.

Steinem is also the stepmother to actor Christian Bale. Moore currently is going through the divorce of her younger husband Ashton Kutcher after it came to light of Kutcher’s extra marital relationships.
