Dina Eastwood has filed for divorce from husband Clint after issuing paperwork on Tuesday, citing irreconcilable differences. Eastwood is also asking for full physical custody of the couple’s 16-year-old daughter, Morgan.
This is the second time the 48-year-old has made motions to officially split from her husband of 17 years in the past two months. On Sept. 11, she filed a legal separation from Clint at the Monterey County Superior Court, but reportedly dismissed her original filing in court just two days later. However, she did not provide an explanation for her change of heart.
A source for People magazine said that Dina’s reality show for E!, “Mrs. Eastwood and Company,” had presented a wedge in her relationship to her esteemed director husband, 83.
“Clint was furious about the show. It went against everything he stands for: he’s incredibly private, and he puts his kids on TV … It’s not a happy time for them.”
Dina and Clint wed in 1996.
The Eastwoods are thought to have broken up one year prior to her separation filing, though neither has yet to release an official statement regarding the matter. An insider for Us Weekly told the publication that “Clint fell out of love with Dina a long time ago.”
Dina and Clint aren’t the only Eastwoods to have generated attention recently. Eastwood’s 27-year-old son, Scott, made a splash in the October issue of Town & Country magazine, where the actor posed topless and spoke of being a “man’s man.” Dina again offered her full support of Clint’s son (from his marriage to Jaclyn Reeves), telling Us Weekly: “He is an amazing young man! He has had nothing handed to him — ever.”
Clint has reportedly moved on with rumored new girlfriend Erica Tomlinson-Fisher, 42.
