Dwayne Johnson had emergency surgery from a wrestling injury from WrestleMania. Johnson suffered three hernial tears from his match with John Cena earlier this month.
On Monday, the actor and semi-retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name “The Rock,” underwent surgery.
Tuesday, Johnson tweeted his fans to let them know that he is doing well.
“Surgery a success! Dr repaired 3 hernial tears (fun pain). Superman is on the mend.. #WeFallWeRise,” Johnson tweeted Tuesday with a photo of himself in a hospital bed, flexing in a Superman T-shirt.
His publicist Alan Nierob told the Associated Press that he is now recovering at home.
Unfortunately, due to his surgery, “The Rock” was forced to miss the Los Angeles premiere of “Pain & Gain,” his latest movie.
Director Michael Bay took no credit for Johnson’s wrestling injury.
“He was pushing it too hard,” Bay told E! News. “[He] needs to grow up and stop wrestling 300-pound men.”
