Emma Watson may be starring in the upcoming 50 Shades of Grey film, according to a report. Apparently, the “50 Shades” rumor started when a a group of hackers managed to steal documents from an internal server of a German studio.
When rumors turned into drooling reports, the studio acknowledged that it had, in fact, been hacked, but downplayed the action, saying the documents stolen were out of date and widely accessible to many Constantin employees.
Watson, 22, will soon reveal just how much she’s grown up since her Harry Potter days.
However, here’s another twist! A spokesman for Universal Pictures told USA TODAY that no one has been cast yet for the film.
“The reports are not true,” said the Universal Pictures spokesman.
This is either an attempt to cover up the information surrounding the film, or perhaps the old documents that were stolen had Watson’s name on it. One thing for sure, Watson has not acknowledged the report.
The actress, according to the leaked documents, is set to play the role of a sexy college student who is seduced by sadistic billionaire Christian Grey.
Universal also said that there’s no director for the project for the adaptation of E.L. James’ best-selling novel, which is being written by Kelly Marcel and produced by Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti.
