Emmy Rossum – Actress Emmy Rossum was quite shameless when a lion jumped into her backyard from a nearby mountain and began drinking out of her pool.
In an interview on “Chelsea Lately” the Manhattan born actress raved about her suburban home in Los Angeles, which includes a pool, something she said was hard to find in Manhattan.
The actress also recounted an experience to show host, Chelsea Handler, about something else you don’t see too often in Manhattan — a mountain lion. Rossum said she was eating spaghetti and meatballs when she noticed through some Cypress trees in her backyard that there was a mountain lion drinking out of her pool. However, the actress wasn’t afraid.
“I didn’t have the fear instinct; I had the New York ‘outraged’ instinct. I was like, ‘What are you doing? Get off my property!'”
She then proceeded to call Animal Control. She joked about how different it was living in Los Angeles compared to New York. She said when she saw the lion she thought, “We’re not in Manhattan anymore.”
Rossum, who is also a singer and songwriter, gained recognition as an actress for her role in “Mystic River.” She later appeared in movies like “The Day After Tomorrow” and “Poseidon.” As a singer, she has only released one album “Inside Out” which came out in 2007. She also starred in the Broadway show “Phantom of the Opera.”
