Gal Gadot is too skinny to become the Wonder Woman superhero, and that’s only part of the problem she’s had to deal with lately. The actress has said that she’s been doing preparation for her Wonder Woman role, reported Examiner.
The film is called Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and also stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Directed by Zack Snyder, Gal was turned down for the role, which is a bit strange.
Many people said Gadot needed more curves, but she’s been gaining body mass by doing kung fu, kickboxing, and jujutsu. And just this week, she posted a photo of her bicep on Facebook, to show off how hard she’s been working.
They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small … They said my head was too big and my body was like a broomstick. It’s just empty talk. I can understand that part of what I’m doing means being exposed. And part of being exposed is being under fire.”
Gal Gadot may be too skinny, but she has done a lot of work to prepare herself as the iconic female hero. And her genetically thin frame has caused a stir among hardcore comic fans, who say Gadot is too weak for the role.
“She doesn’t have what it takes to be Wonder Woman. She has no curves and her legs are like pencils. Gal is a great model, but she doesn’t even come close to taking on a superhero role like this.”
However, Gal has won the the role and also pointed out that Wonder Woman is a mythical Amazonian warrior princess, and pointed out that real Amazonians chop off their right breasts — something that won’t happen in the film, reported StarPulse. Personal trainer Jen Sinkler said critics are being foolish.
“Making a cursory judgment about someone’s health and fitness level is foolish business … So when you criticize someone for being too anything, you may very well be criticizing her genetic predisposition, … Pretty harsh!”
Gal Gadot is too skinny for most fans, but there are a few factors at play, Skinler says, with the main one being body type: All of us are some combination of ectomorph (people who are naturally skinny and have a tough time putting on muscle or fat), mesomorph (people who put on muscle very easily and generally have an athletic build), and endomorph (people who have a natural tendency toward roundness and put on muscle and fat easily).
“It’s not like I’m only TRX or Pilates. I do sports [where] everything’s working your whole body,” Gal revealed. “I do cardio, but I don’t like it as much. I’d rather do weights.”
It’s very hard to tell how healthy or fit or in shape someone is just by looking at them, especially for Gadot, notes MTV. Rather than calling out what you perceive to be an unhealthy lifestyle, what you’re very possibly doing is just straight-up body snarking.
