Gene Simmons Married Shannon Tweed In Outdoor Wedding

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed were married at the Beverly Hills Hotel with more than 400 guests at the wedding.

The KISS rocker has finally tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend. Some of the guests included the KISS band members, Hugh Hefner, and Bill Maher. The “Royal Rock Wedding” was taped for a special episode of their A&E reality series “Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels” to air later this month.

The bassist, 62, proposed to his Playboy Playmate girlfriend, 54, with a 24-carat diamond on the finale of the couple’s reality series in July. Leading up to the wedding, there were many problems aired about the relationship, and she walked out on him a few times during interviews on NBC and Fox. Some fans didn’t know if the KISS bassist would ever get married.

The duo have been together for 28 years and have two children together: Nick, 22, and Sophie, who served as Maid of Honor and sang Etta James’ “At Last” for their first dance.

“It is time for me to grow up. I’m 62. I’ve been doing a lot of wacky stuff for an awfully long time…and there’s nobody I’ve ever said ‘I love you’ to,” Simmons told Entertainment Tonight after he was married.
