George Jones was hospitalized this week in Nashville and forced to cancel his upcoming shows.
On Thursday, following a routine check up, the country music singer was admitted to a Nashville hospital for observation.
During the doctors visit, they found that Jones was running a slight fever and had an irregular blood pressure.
The 81-year-old had no choice but to postpone his concerts set for this weekend in Atlanta, Ga., and Salem, Va. There has been no mention as to when these shows will be rescheduled. His next show will be in Huntsville, Ala. on April 27.
Jones “goodbye tour” will conclude on November 22, 2013 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. This show will feature Garth Brooks, Randy Travis, Alan Jackson, Dierks Bentley, Don McLean, Cyndi Lauper, Billy Ray Cyrus and more great artist.
