Hangover Film Franchise Announces Part 3

The Hangover film franchise announces part 3. Zach Galifianakis stated that the next installment could be near. He mentioned it during an interview with the Rolling Stone.

Galifianakis stated that instead of having a lost friend in the city, like the previous two, this film will be based in a mental institution. The movie will then revolve around Phil and Stu trying to break Alan out of the institution. Although the director for the movies has yet to confirm the plot.

It seems inevitable that there won’t be a Hangover 3 regardless of what the plot is. With such success it wouldn’t be in the writers best interest to end at the second series. After the first Hangover release no one expected Hangover II do be as successful. Well after the release on Memorial Day weekend the Hangover II brought in $338 million in worldwide box-office revenue; that is the highest grossing comedy film ever.

When in the interview with Rolling Stone, Zach Galifianakis said in a statement, “They want to do a Hangover III. I’m getting fricking phone calls already.” I’m sure Zach won’t be the only one to be getting phone calls soon after Todd Phillips told the press, “”I would do a ‘Hangover III’ in a heartbeat because I love working with these guys.”

“I have a great idea for it. It doesn’t follow the template of the first two. It’s a totally different film and is very much the end of the Hangovers,” Phillips said. We’ll probably learn more from Galifianakis in the coming days about Hangover 3.
