Heather Graham, who played Jade the stripper in the first Hangover film, will join the franchise once again with part 3, which will shoot this fall by Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures.
The actors include Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms. In addition, Ken Jeong, the scene stealer who appeared in the first two installments, will join the cast. Graham did not appear in the second, Bangkok-set movie.
In the original blockbuster, Graham played Jade, a Las Vegas stripper who marries Ed Helms’ character, Stu. “The Hangover Part II” followed the crew to Thailand for Stu’s wedding to Lauren (Jamie Chung), leaving Jade to stay behind in the United States. While plot details remain under wraps for the latest sequel, it’s safe to say a reunion between Stu and Jade is on the itinerary.
In addition to co-writing the script with Craig Mazin, Todd Phillips will also produce with Daniel Goldberg, while Legendary topper Thomas Tull will exec produce. WB will release “The Hangover Part III” on May 24, 2013.
Graham, who recently starred in “Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer,” will soon be seen alongside Ashley Hinshaw and James Franco in Stephen Elliott’s indie drama “About Cherry,” which IFC Films releases next month. Thesp also co-stars opposite Zac Efron and Dennis Quaid in Ramin Bahrani’s drama “At Any Price,” which Sony Pictures Classics recently acquired in advance of its festival screenings in Venice and Toronto.
