General Hospital is set to celebrate its 50th anniversary with the return with Jack Wagner. From 1983-1995 the actor stared as Frisco Jones, a cop-turned-spy, on the multi award winning series.
TVGuide.com said he is among the many daytime-drama icons returning to “GH” this year for the ABC show’s 50th anniversary.
Since leaving the show in 1995, Wagner has starred in “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Melrose Place,” “Sunset Beach” and “Santa Barbara,” and competed on “Dancing with the Stars.”
In addition, the now 53-year-old appeared in several made for television films, including Moving Target, Lady Killer, Frequent Flyer, and Dirty Little Secret.
Robin Mattson, Sean Kanan, Ian Buchanan, Finola Hughes, Lynn Herring, and Tristan Rogers have also recently returned to “General Hospital,” and Kin Shriner and Genie Francis are expected back next month.
Wagner is as well a singer and has recorded five albums. He topped the Billboard charts in 1985, with “All I Need”. The single reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart.
His other albums include Lighting Up the Night, Don’t Give Up Your Day Job, Alone in the Crowd, Dancing in the Moonlight and Will The Rain Fall Down.
