Jane Seymour – The 20-year marriage between Jane Seymour and James Keach is ending, after she recently filed court documents for a legal separation, last week in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The actress cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup. She and her 65-year-old actor and director husband James have 17-year-old twin boys together. The British actress has requested joint legal and physical custody of their sons, Johnny and Kristopher.
Seymour, 62, is not requesting spousal support.
In April, Seymour announced that she was set to divorce for the fourth time amid widespread rumors of her husband’s wandering eye.
The former Bond girl said at the time that the couple had been “negotiating the terms of their divorce” and will “continue their relationship as devoted parents to their children.” Seymour also is the mother to 28-year-old artist Sean Flynn and 31-year-old daughter Katie from her marriage to David Flynn. She’s also stepmother to Jenni Flynn and Kalen Keach.
A source close to the actress earlier this year told The Mail on Sunday that Seymour and James separated at Easter after having problems in their marriage “for years.”
“She’s finally had it with his antics. Their marriage was over a long time ago,” the friend said.
Originally from South East London, Seymour has been unlucky in love. Her first marriage in 1971 to Michael Attenborough, son of director Lord Attenborough, ended after just two years. She then wed artist Geoffrey Planer in 1977, but they split a year later.
She went through a messy public divorce from her third husband David after she discovered he had cheated on her.
Shortly after her 1993 marriage to Keach, whom she met when he directed her in Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman, Seymour said: “We got our happy ending, which is all that matters.”
Seymour has built up a successful career outside of films and television. She has earned millions through her artwork and designs jewellery, furniture and clothing. She has also written a series of self-help books.
