Actor Jeffrey Wright was stopped by New York City police on Saturday for suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI) and was arrested when he failed a field sobriety test.
The 47-year-old character actor was behind the wheel in a Toyota Tacoma at around 3:00 AM ET when cops pulled in over during the early hours of the morning for a traffic violation.
Officers detected the smell of alcohol and asked Wright to undergo a field sobriety test.
On the other side of the country in Los Angeles, nearly two weeks (04-14-13) after his arrest, on Friday, comedian/actor Kevin Hart was charged by the L.A. City Attorney with two misdemeanor counts of DUI (driving under the influence).
Hart was arrested for DUI almost two weeks ago after CHP spotted him speeding and driving erratically on an L.A. freeway. Cops say they clocked Kevin Hart at 90 MPH and watched as he almost collided with a gas tanker truck.
Wright, who will next appear in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, was booked for DWI and released from jail on Sunday.
